Help with upgrading to the latest Windows

Should you upgrade to Windows 11? Yes. A resounding Yes.

Microsoft gets a really unjustified rap for doing regular updates. The reality is that these updates are necessary to keep their users safe.

In addition to their regular security updates, over the years, they’ve had quite a few major Windows releases.

The irony is that most Apple Mac users won’t buy a second-hand Mac unless it supports the latest version of Mac OS, but everyone has this one IT friend telling them how bad the latest version of Windows is and they should stick to the old version.

The hypocrisy extends further when we all want our phones or tablets to run the latest Android or Apple IOS version.

Microsoft has one of the most secure operating systems in the world and you are TWICE as likely to be a victim of a malware attack on a Mac vs a Windows computer  – see the references below.

Windows upgrades can be tricky and as they are a major software upgrade, you probably need our help.

You have Windows 10, but do you have the LATEST version?

With Windows 10, Microsoft began bringing out a “Feature Update” every six months since the first version in July 2015.

The difference between feature updates is quite drastic if you compare the current version to the much older versions.

Not only that, the latest versions of Windows 10 still receive security updates and are much more stable.

Many IT guys switch off Windows Updates to prevent a certain issue, but then leave the computer user vulnerable to security threats. Let us ensure you are up to date!

Upgrading to WIndows 11 - age of the computer now matters

Windows 7 and 10 used to work on almost every computer. Some older computers used to have driver issues and were more difficult to get working, but pretty much anything newer than 2010 could run Windows 10.

You could even install Windows 7 or 10 on a Mac breathing new life into an Apple computer not supported by the latest Apple Mac OS version!

Unfortunately, due to security upgrades and improvements in Windows 11, not every computer is upgradeable to Microsoft’s latest Operating System

Odds are that if your computer is older than 2017, it probably can’t run Windows 11.

Windows 10 is a highly recommended upgrade if you’re running an older version of Windows.

Support for Windows 10 only ends 14 October 2025.
