Our remote support services offer the same hourly rate, depending on the client’s needs. When we have a tech available to assist in the office, we may provide a reduced minimum fee if the session is less than 15 minutes, eliminating the need for onsite visits for quick, easy-to-resolve issues and reducing costs.
We understand that every minute counts and our pricing structure reflects our commitment to cost-effectiveness and efficiency. For quick callouts of less than 15 minutes, we charge a minimum call-out fee of only $140. We wish we could charge less, but travel to site takes time as well!
For remote assistance sessions of less than 15 minutes, we offer a minimum service fee of just $119. However, if the remote support call exceeds 15 minutes, we charge a full hour for the service. This “15 minute or less” discounted service fee is applicable to businesses, residential customers, Supergold Cardholders, and charities alike.
If a call-out lasts for 15 minutes or more, we bill a minimum of an hour, and any additional time is billed in 15-minute increments.
We also offer very minor administration tasks that our receptionist or admin person can perform, (eg. looking up a password or info from our knowledgebase), at a cost-effective rate of $30. Additionally, certain office admin tasks that take longer, such as resetting passwords or activating licenses, that take a bit longer or need a technician or less are billed at $50.
At IT NEAR U, we prioritize convenience for our customers. For residential customers and new business clients, we collect payment at the end of the call-out. Our consultants and mobile tech support staff carry EFTPOS terminals, making payment processing seamless. For business customers, we offer the option to pre-arrange terms for added flexibility.
Please note that credit card transactions incur a 2.5% surcharge, and all prices and rates include GST at 15%.
Our standard rates apply during our normal office hours, which are from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding Public Holidays. Rest assured, during these hours, you’ll receive the same reliable and efficient service.
For those requiring assistance on Saturdays or after regular business hours, we do offer support; however, there is a 50% surcharge on all rates above during these times. This surcharge helps us maintain our high-quality service outside of standard hours.
In case of emergencies on Sundays or Public Holidays, we make every effort to assist. However, please be aware that these times incur a 100% surcharge, doubling the usual hourly rate. We strive to be available for critical situations, ensuring you receive the support you need when you need it most.
To optimize efficiency and reduce costs, we may take certain equipment off-site for work. By doing so, we can charge for the actual work done rather than billing for on-site waiting times, ensuring a fair and cost-effective solution.
Our billing structure reflects our commitment to customer satisfaction and fairness. Unlike many other companies, we do not impose a minimum full-hour call-out fee, allowing you to benefit from quick and efficient support without unnecessary costs.
For new clients, we offer a complimentary hour-long consultation to discuss and assess your site’s IT requirements. This in-depth discussion helps us understand your needs, document systems, and plan a strategic approach to better serve your business. It’s important to note that this consultation doesn’t include ad-hoc call-outs or on-site problem-solving, which are separately billed for advice and consultation.
Our approach to Service Level Agreements is unique. We prefer to call them “Preventative Maintenance Service Agreements” as we focus on maintaining long-term relationships with our clients. Our month-to-month SLAs provide benefits like preferential service response times, reduced hourly rates, and other service-related reductions.
Unlike typical corporate-style SLA contracts, we include regular visits to ensure smooth operations and manage our workforce more effectively. Our approach allows flexibility, and we only offer month-to-month SLAs to regular clients after familiarizing ourselves with their IT systems and processes.
Our Time & Billing Process
We are IT Consultants. Our billing is based on the time spent rather than specific job completion or outcomes. We prioritize transparency and fairness, ensuring you only pay for the actual time our technicians spend assisting you. We provide solutions and recommendations, but the final decision on accepting and implementing them lies with you.
We aim to be fair and reasonable with billing, understanding that sometimes certain issues may require hardware upgrades or changes in procedures. Our focus is always on providing the best IT solutions tailored to your needs.
To make payment processing smooth and efficient, we accept electronic bank transfers. However, please note that we do not accept cheques, as our bank no longer supports this payment method.
